Tongan athletes are undergoing final training for the Commonwealth Games which opens on 23 July in Glasgow.
 
Dr ‘Amanaki Fakakovikaetau the Chef de Mission reported that the athletes were in good health and busy as the training started with the team physio Lucy Tighe.

Team Tonga dignitaries led by the Minister of Internal Affairs Lord Vaea and wife Lady Vaea, TASA President Lady Robyn Tu’ivakano and Secretary-General Takitoa Taumoepeau have arrived in Glasgow.

Tonga will be represented by 15 athletes in four sports including boxing, swimming, athletics and weightlifting. They include two bronze medalist boxers Uaine Fa Jr and Lomalito Moala.
