A new United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) and the Global Environment Facility (GEF) 5 Project has called for public-private partnership for increased electricity generation in The Gambia.

Gambia: 42 Students From Demon Fort University Visit Gambia

As part of a student visit programme, in partnership with Global Hands Gambia (GHG), at least 42 students from Global Hands Leicester in the United Kingdom Saturday arrived in the Gambia for 11-day working visit.

Global Hands Gambia is a youth charitable organisation under the umbrella body of Global Hands Leicester in the United Kingdom. Global Hands Gambia was formed in January 4th 2013, primarily aimed at building capacities. GHG is also involved in five key areas, such as education, health, agriculture, environment, and entrepreneurship. Speaking at a press conference held on Saturday at the American Corner in Bundung, GHG chairperson, Jimmy Hendry Nzally, said the upcoming trip of its partners is part of an ongoing community project his organisation is spearheading, in collaboration with its parent body Global Hands Leicester, UK.

Gambia: NANS Inaugurates First Executive Members

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Gambian chapter on Saturday inaugurated its first executive members at the Girls Guide hall, along MDI Road.
